Tina Floersch is a creative photographer born and raised in Minnesota. Her love for Minnesota can be seen in her beautiful Minnesota themed artwork that she designed. She is also an experienced graphic designer, with a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.. Her primary focus is creative portraiture and product photography, with a secondary focus on weddings, engagements, boudoir, and concert photography. We were able to connect with Tina and ask her a few questions about her photography.
What got you interested in photography? I have always had an interest in photography ever since I was little. I would drive my parents nuts with the amount of disposable cameras that I would go through and wanted developed. I never thought much into it as a career until I hit college where I met my now best friend who has her own photography business. She saw the photos that I was producing in a photography course (where we used a mix of digital and film) and encouraged me to invest in my first DSLR camera to pursue photography more seriously. I ended up being an assistant photographer to one of her weddings and after that, I was hooked and wanted to push my boundaries and talent. I started doing concert photography after I graduated which was fun but pretty tricky! It was great experience and I had to self teach most of the time.
What is your favorite thing to photograph? People! People are so unique and fun to interact with! I love doing unique portraits as well as product photography, which usually involves models showcasing the products.
How did you hear about Murol? I heard about Murol at a Rising Artist Showcase back in March where I was vending. User #62 baby!
What inspires you? I think the better question is what DOESN’T inspire me?! What I am inspired by is really unpredictable most of the time, which makes it so much fun and different from time to time. Constantly evolving and staying consistently inspired by things around me (physically or digitally) is how I grow and learn.
What would be your dream photo shoot or location at which to take photos? A dream shoot of mine would be a product line/ promotional shoot in New Zealand. I used to watch America’s Next Top Model all the time and the locations in conjunction with the clothing/ accessories have always been a dream combination of mine!
